“Sex WAX n Rock n Roll” is an upcoming autobiography by former DJ, Mont Sherar, who was instrumental in the creation of two legendary anti-mainstream dance-clubs during the 80s era in Miami and Miami Beach, Florida, namely Fire & Ice and The Kitchen Club. Although this is only part of a life story, Killing Joke is a thread throughout the book and of special note, the drummer and cofounder of the band, Big Paul Ferguson.

To provide a“visual sample” of what lies within, Mont has created the short film, “Chapter Big Paul Ferguson.” This film serves not only as a tribute to the band as a whole, but with rarely seen focus on what many consider one of history’s greatest drummers.

Featuring:
• Never before seen live footage from Killing Joke from 1989 at both Kitchen Club and Cameo Theater, Miami Beach
• Unreleased original music from Big Paul Ferguson, “Wounded Pride”
• Live footage from recent Killing Joke including a dynamic version of “Pssyche”
• Performance by Mark Gemini Thwaite

• Comments from:
Peter Murphy – Bauhaus
Martin Atkins – Public Image Ltd./Killing Joke/Ministry
Martin “Youth” Glover – Killing Joke
Hugo Burnham – Gang of Four
John Ashton – Psychedelic Furs/Satellite Paradiso
Jason Bowld – Killing Joke fill-in/Axewound/Pitchshifter
Mark Gemini Thwaite – Peter Murphy/The Mission/Mob Research
Dave Barbarossa – Adam & The Ants/Bow Wow Wow/Cauldronated
John Robb – Louder Than War/Membranes
Carl Marsh – Shriekback
Mont Sherar – DJ, Fire & Ice/The Kitchen Club

and of course, Big Paul Ferguson himself!

Peter Murphy has announced the Mr. Moonlight Tour, celebrating 35 years of Bauhaus. Murphy, who has started working with producer Youth (Killing Joke, The Verve) on the follow up to his 2011 critically acclaimed solo effort, NINTH- which also featured MarkGT on guitars – will spend three months touring North America and Europe with a full band including MGT, drummer Nick Lucero and bassist Zef Noise performing only Bauhaus material.

Says Peter, “Since 2006, I have included my Bauhaus work into my solo work as a way of tipping my hat to my own audience…those who discovered my early work as well as new and old fans of those years strong wishes to hear the music of my band crackle and spark in the live arena. Being the foremost advocate of this Bauhaus work, I decided the time was ripe to at last give a pure Bauhaus experience in one Mr. Moonlight world tour. Mr. Moonlight is alive and well, don’t doubt it.”

Bauhaus formed in 1978 and achieved worldwide cult status that continues to this day. The band originally split in 1983, but eventually bowed to public pressure to reform in 1998 and again in 2005. The Mr. Moonlight Tour will be the first time since 2006 that Peter Murphy will perform full Bauhaus sets, and the first time ever that he will do so on his own – with long time guitarist MGT at his side.
