In a distant time in a land far away (well.. London in 1996 to be precise) MGT formed a band called BLUEMAX with Andy Cousin of his old band The Mission and Andy’s previous band All About Eve. They recruited Darren Scullion on vocals and an amazing drummer Tony Peart. Mission keyboardist Rik Carter also made an appearance on several recordings as did All About Eve vocalist Julianne Regan, including a stella appearance on the band’s beloved cover of ‘Superstar’ made famous by 70’s band The Carpenters (see video below).

Many fine ales were quaffed and they recorded an albums worth of material during 1996-97 but sadly never got signed despite some label interest.. the band dissolved as Mark joined Tricky‘s live band in 1998 (and later the reformed Mission) and Andy rejoined the reformed AAE. The unreleased album languished for many years… until now!

The album has been lovingly remastered and released by Emission records and is now available in digital formats via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Tidal etc.
